Northbrook's Graphic Design and Illustration degree courses are part of the thriving Creative Industries Department which offers rich collaborative opportunities with theatre, music and fashion students. Teaching staff have a depth of professional experience and students work with excellent specialist facilities and resources gaining experience through a range of subject specific workshops and industry led projects. Professional Business Practice modules provide the opportunity to work alongside visiting practitioners and gain industry experience, maximising employability. Students who successfully complete the FdA may progress to the one year BA (Hons) top-up in Communication Design.

The highly successful virtual band, Gorillaz (picture bottom right), was designed and created by Northbrook graduate, Jamie Hewlett, who also won the £25,000 Designer of the Year award from the Design Museum
