Our Motorsport Engineering course is based at our facility at Shoreham Airport. The College’s location is highly regarded and its practical equipment includes race ready competition cars, state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, CAD/CAM & CFD software and techniques for the design and manufacture of electronic systems. Although the courses have a strong academic focus, students benefit from the practical hands-on environment created at the College.

Our part-time Engineering courses are based at our Broadwater Road campus, where we have some of the best equipped engineering equipment and workshops in the south.

Student Feedback:

"The course prepared me for working as part of a team and it gave me the skills I needed."

Leon Humphreys, Design Engineer at Ultimate Automation Ltd

"The course has opened many avenues for me as an engineer, whilst the race team has given me great hands on experience that I can take forward into my career."

Tom Hill, Foundation Degree student

"The relatively small size of the campus provides the students with a better learning experience and improved communication with the course lecturers, as opposed to a traditional lecture hall. This is vital support for students to keep them on track with the course and allows them to engage with the subjects better. The college offers various forms of learning experiences ranging from trips to wind tunnels, Motorsport venues and direct access to work on a Motorsport single seat racing car, which is vital material that students need to progress and gain the necessary skills for the future. Furthermore, being on the course provides opportunities for the students to find work experience and the chance to work on real world projects, such as the Weald Technology Electric Drag Bike World Record, which was arranged by the Course Lecturer."
Matthew Fenton, Foundation Degree graduate
