Northbrook’s Fashion Media and Promotion course has won a ‘Highly Commended’ prize from the British Fashion Council.
Northbrook’s course show reel, which features student moving image work, caught the eye of judges at the Colleges Council Preview day at the Hospital Club, Covent Garden in May.
The BFC Colleges Council Graduate Preview Day gives industry professionals an opportunity to assess the talent due to emerge from the UK’s top fashion colleges as well as to foster relationships between graduates and the industry.
The prize included a month’s free access to Fashion industry trend forecaster WGSN and its new retail analytics service ‘WGSN INstock’.
Bianca Donnelly, Acting Course Leader in BA (Hons) Fashion Media & Promotion said, “We’re delighted to have won the ‘highly commended’ prize at the British Fashion Council Colleges Preview day. We’re proud of our creativity and encourage our students to work in an industry focused manner using fashion film and digital technology as a communication tool. This is a significant achievement considering we were pitched against heavyweight institutions including London College of Fashion and The Royal College of Art.”
Last year, the event attracted a range of industry professionals including representatives from international and UK press and buyers including Vogue Italia, Elle Magazine, Marie Claire, Evening Standard, Max Mara, Matches, Harrods, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, Browns, Topshop and Warehouse.
