Carpentry and Joinery Level 2 | Apprenticeship Standard
COURSE OVERVIEW
This NVQ is delivered in your workplace and can start at any point.
Onsite assessment for candidates working in industry either as a site carpenter or bench joiner. Our assessors will assess your competency in the workplace and this qualification will allow you to apply for a tradesperson’;s CSC card. There are underpinning knowledge units that you will be required to complete independently and submit to your assessor.
You can start this course at any time. No attendance to college as this is an on-site assessment. Example dates are given below.

FURTHER INFORMATION
You must be working in the industry as a carpenter or joiner to enable the assessment in the workplace.
After this course you can progress to full-time employment or on to a higher-apprenticeship.
You will be assessed throughout your course via practical activity observations, academic coursework and industry placements. Assessments are based around ‘real-life’ projects and industry or workplace scenarios including work experience. Your final grade will be awarded as pass, merit or distinction.
There is no cost to an apprentice.
If you are an employer employing an apprentice over the age 21 (without an EHCP) then you are likely to pay 5% towards the training cost.
If you are an employer with an Apprenticeship levy (i.e. your payroll exceeds £3 Million) then you will pay in full from your levy account.
