This course has been devised in response to industry and student-led demand for practical training in makeup and hairdressing techniques for theatre, film, TV, fashion, festival, carnival and entertainment arenas.
COURSE OVERVIEW
This two year course provides students with the knowledge, skills and understanding necessary to progress to degree level study and employment in the fast-moving games industry. You will explore and develop your creativity within a stimulating environment, through a mix of practical and theoretical learning, supported by industry specialists.
This is a two year course, you will study for the UAL Level 3 Diploma in Creative Media Production & technology in the first year and on successful completion you will study the Extended Diploma in the second year. You will specialise in a chosen area for the Extended Diploma (year 2).
FURTHER INFORMATION
Start at Level 3 if you have at least 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and maths.
After successful completion and achievement of the Diploma progress to the UAL Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production Technology (year 2).
You can progress to university-level courses, either at the Northbrook College or at other universities throughout the UK. Our West Durrington Campus is also our University Centre, a creative arts space with students studying at degree level in art & design disciplines as well as theatre arts and music.

You will be assessed throughout your course via practical activity observations, academic coursework and industry placements. Assessments are based around ‘real-life’ projects and industry or workplace scenarios including work experience. Your final grade will be awarded as pass, merit or distinction.
